Wisdom teeth are the third and most posterior molars. They are located right at the back of your mouth. Wisdom teeth usually erupt between the ages of 16 and 25. They commonly affect us when they develop or become impacted. The later means that they do not fully erupt as they become blocked by other teeth. A tooth can also become impacted because there is not enough space for them to grow straight so they become slanted or horizontal.
It is important to discuss your wisdom teeth with our oral health care professionals since wisdom teeth can cause pain and inflammation as well as other problems.
